Locai Labs was founded on a clear mission: to build independent sovereign foundational AI. We saw an industry dominated by a handful of closed systems, prioritising profit over people and believed there had to be a better way.

We built GB1 using our Forget-Me-Not framework to improve and de-bias a high-performance open-source model so that it is aligned with the laws, languages and idioms of the UK.
