Acceptable Use Policy

    Last Updated: August 2026

PLEASE READ THE TERMS OF THIS POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING LOCAI LABS PRODUCTS OR SERVICES

    1. Important Information About Locai Labs Products

    What this Policy covers

This acceptable use policy ("Policy") applies to:

    • 1.1.1. Software and applications supplied with a Locai One or Locai One Pro appliance (including Locai OS and the Locai App), used under your purchase and licence terms;
    • 1.1.2. Hosted assistants and related online services operated by Locai Labs (including GB1), where access is provided under separate terms; and
    • 1.1.3. Use of Locai Labs systems and APIs that we operate.

More details regarding Locai Labs Limited can be found here: https://locailabs.com/.

    Who Provides Locai Labs Products?

Products and services are made available by Locai Labs Limited, registered in England and Wales with company number 14229026 and with registered address at Park Central, 40-41 Park End Street, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX1 1JD (referred to as "Locai Labs" "we", "us" or "our" in this Policy).

    Ownership vs hosted access

Locai One is sold as an appliance you own. Use of the included software is governed by your purchase agreement and licence terms, not by a multi-tenant "fair usage" subscription that Locai Labs can throttle for other customers on the same shared cloud. Hosted services (such as GB1), where offered, may be subject to capacity and abuse controls appropriate to a shared online service.

    2. Acceptable Use

Use of Locai Labs products and services is subject to compliance with this Policy, which contains:

    2.1. Product-specific usage rules

    2.2. Prohibited Uses

    2.3. Content Standards

This Policy should be read alongside your purchase agreement, software licence, and any hosted-service terms that apply to you.

    3. Product-Specific Usage Rules

3.1. Locai One software. You may use Locai OS, the Locai App and related software on licensed appliances for your internal business or personal purposes, in accordance with your licence and brand guidelines of Locai Labs. You must not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the software except as expressly permitted in writing.

3.2. Hosted services (including GB1). Where you use a Locai Labs hosted assistant, use must be lawful and must not abuse shared infrastructure (for example automated scraping, denial-of-service patterns, or load that materially degrades the service for others). Locai Labs may suspend or restrict access to a hosted service to protect the platform, other users, or to comply with law.

3.3. Locai Labs does not claim a general right to withdraw your use of software running solely on an appliance you own, except as provided in your licence (for example for material breach, IP infringement, or legal compulsion).

    4. Prohibited Uses

4.1. You may not use Locai Labs products or services:

    • 4.1.1. If you are under 18 (for hosted consumer assistants; organisational use of Locai One follows your organisation's policies and applicable law).

5.2. The Content Standards must be complied with in spirit as well as to the letter. The standards apply to each part of any User Material as well as to its whole.

5.3. Locai Labs will determine, in its discretion, whether User Material on a hosted service breaches the Content Standards. For Locai One, your organisation is responsible for enforcing acceptable use on systems under its control; Locai Labs may still act where software licence terms are breached or where we become aware of illegal use.

6.2. Failure to comply with this Policy may constitute a material breach of your licence or hosted-service terms, and we may do any of the following (as applicable to the product):
