Our Story
Locai Labs was founded on a clear mission: to build an independent foundational LLM, rooted in a distinct point of view. We saw an industry dominated by a handful of closed systems, prioritising profit over people and lacking genuine transparency. We believed there had to be a better way.
Driven by this conviction, we set out to create AI that is fundamentally different. Our approach is centred on transparency, guided by community input, and designed to serve the diverse, real-world needs of people solving real problems.
